A studio portrait experience, at your event
Monique brings the studio to you, creating portraits for each guest with intention and delivering hand-finished portraits that feel personal, polished, and worth cherishing forever.
Inquire about your dateThe experience
A real portrait session, set inside your event. Every guest is photographed with the same care as a sitting in our own studio, and the finished portraits follow within the week.
The studio goes up quietly in a corner of the room: a clean backdrop and beautiful light, ready about 30 minutes before the first arrival.
Monique works with every person, couple, or group the way she would in her own studio: real direction, real attention, and the portrait they did not know they had in them.
Each image is chosen and refined by Monique herself, in the same finish as her studio work. Nothing is rushed out of a machine.
Within the week, every guest receives a private note with their portraits. Theirs to keep, share, and print.

Direction
A portrait session is a conversation, not a pose. Monique meets each guest where they are, reads what is already good about them, and coaches them into it. The nerves go first; then the shoulders; then the real face shows up. That is the frame she is waiting for.
A warm hello, a little reassurance, and a first frame that asks nothing of them. Nobody is left standing there wondering what to do with their hands.
Chin, weight, breath, where to look: small, specific direction that anyone can follow, delivered with a laugh. Guests do not perform for the camera; they respond to a person.
Monique looks for the moment between the poses, then finishes it by hand: skin kept real, light kept honest, the person kept themselves.
Why it feels different
We do not follow the action or replace your event photographer. We build a studio in the room and make portraits of your guests; the two work beautifully side by side.
Monique directs and photographs every session herself.
Real studio lighting, built to make each guest look like the best version of themselves.
Every delivered portrait is refined by eye, never by filter.
Step in, be photographed, and receive your portraits after the event. Nothing to figure out.
Portraits people print and keep, not strips they lose.

The technology
Every screen a guest touches was made for this and nothing else: clean, quick, and easy for anyone, whether they live on their phone or would rather not touch one. No apps to download, no printer to wait on, no line to guess at. Here is what that buys you.

Finished portraits, sent to each guest alone.
Nobody on your team runs the line. Guests check in on their own phone or at the kiosk, get a ticket, and go back to the party; a text calls each one when it is nearly their turn. You host. We handle the rest.
The line is quiet, so every guest gets Monique's full attention: a warm welcome, real direction, and a screen beside the set where they watch their portrait come together.
Studio light, a portrait lens, and a lighting package chosen for your room and the look you want. Every portrait is then finished by hand, never by filter, before anyone sees it.
Each guest's gallery is their own and reaches them alone, by email or text. No public wall, no shared drive, nothing posted without them. You receive a host gallery of every delivered portrait, so nothing is lost.

A photo booth has a button.
JPEG Bruja has a soul.
Where it works
The moment at the party people line up for. Portraits worth a profile, a press page, or a frame on the desk.
Birthdays, anniversaries, fundraisers, reunions: a night that leaves something lasting behind.
A guest experience that turns into a portrait people are proud to share, with your brand in the room.
The favor your guests actually keep. Everyone you love, dressed for the occasion, photographed beautifully, while your wedding photographer covers the day.

A second way to book
The same experience, priced differently. Made for markets, festivals, and public events: a $650 studio fee brings the studio to you for 4 hours (3 of them portraits), and each guest pays for their own session at a rate Monique sets for your event, between $25–$50. The host guarantees 25 paid sessions: if fewer guests sit, the host covers the difference at that rate.

Every experience includes a clean black or white backdrop. Building a floral wall or a branded set with your planner or venue? We are happy to photograph within it.
Space and timing
About 10 by 10 feet, with 30 minutes before and after for us. Sessions are loveliest with one to three people; groups are welcome when the room allows.
Travel
Based in Las Cruces, New Mexico, at home across New Mexico, West Texas, and Arizona. The first 25 miles are on us; beyond that, $1 a mile, quoted with your event.

Questions
No. Monique directs and photographs every session herself under studio light, and every portrait is finished by hand before it reaches your guests.
No. This is a portrait studio brought to your event, not event coverage. We do not follow the action, and we do not replace your wedding or event photographer. We set up in a corner of the room and make portraits of your guests; the two work beautifully side by side.

Yes, and we love it when you do. Floral walls, branded sets, furniture, and other scenes are supplied and installed by your planner, venue, or production team; Monique approves the space for light and safety and photographs within it.
About ten feet by ten feet, plus a little room for guests to step in and out. A corner of the room is usually perfect.
About 30 minutes before portraits begin, and about 30 minutes after. Your guests never see the setup.
Happily, when the schedule allows: additional sessions are $25 each, at Monique's discretion on the night.
